Bush-Hogging & Rough Bush-Hogging
A tractor and rotary cutter knock down tall grass, weeds and light brush up to 1" in diameter, leaving the cut material on the ground. It is the most basic and most affordable way to cut down overgrowth, and it works best when the property is reasonably level and dry and there is room for a tractor to operate. Rough bush-hogging is for property that has gotten away from its owner, where the goal is to open it back up rather than leave a manicured finish.
Large Acreage Mowing
Fields, pasture and large tracts cut with high-horsepower tractors. Production can range from a quarter acre to four acres per hour depending on the machine and how dense the growth is, which is why we quote a firm flat rate up front instead of billing by the hour.

Code Violations / Overgrown Citations
Hillsborough, Pinellas and Manatee counties, and most cities within them, actively cite overgrown lots during the rainy season. Tell us your deadline when you call. We photograph the completed work so you have documentation for the code enforcement officer, and recurring maintenance helps keep the lot from growing back to citation height.

Underbrushing & Lot Enhancement
Underbrushing removes the underbrush, usually everything up to 3"–4" in diameter, while preserving the larger trees. It opens up a densely wooded property for access, looks, visibility or a survey, and it is a good way to improve a property you plan to put on the market.
Heavy Duty Finish Mowing
Large diesel finish mowers cut thick grasses and light vegetation that are too dense for regular mowers, and give a very large lot or acreage a finished look. It suits property that is moderately level and mostly free of woody material.
Fenceline Clearing & Survey Trail Clearing
Fence line clearing removes the vegetation along a fence to allow access and prevent damage to the fence, and is usually done by hand. Survey clearing cuts rough trails so surveyors can easily shoot their waypoints.
Tractor Mowing / Industrial Mowing
Tractor mowing for commercial tracts, rough sites and construction sites, run by operators who each have a minimum of 10 years of experience. Bush hogging throws debris at high speed, so we carry liability insurance and are happy to provide proof of coverage before work begins.
Developed Lot Maintenance / Subdivision Mowing
Residential vacant lots, infill lots and subdivision lots kept cut on a regular schedule for investors, builders and out-of-town owners. The cost per visit is much lower once a property is on a schedule, and recurring maintenance keeps you ahead of code enforcement.
Large Lot & Estate Maintenance
Large lots and estates kept maintained through the year. In the Tampa Bay area most properties benefit from a cut every 6–8 weeks in peak growing season and every 10–12 weeks in the cooler months. You do not need to be present; we just need access, and we send photos of the completed work.
Pricing
Bush hogging is usually priced by the hour or at a flat rate that includes everything. We prefer to give a firm flat-rate price up front so there are no surprises. Send your address or parcel ID and we'll quote most jobs the same day. How much does bush hogging cost?
What we can cut
- Bush-hogging and acreage mowing: grass, weeds and brush up to 1" in diameter.
- Saplings from 1" to 3": we may be able to cut them with a heavy-duty rotary cutter. Send photos and we'll tell you.
- Underbrushing: clears the underbrush, usually up to 3"–4", while keeping the larger trees. Quoted after we see photos or the property.
- Not us: larger trees, stumps, forestry mulching, land clearing, and anything in a wetland, conservation area or buffer (why we can't touch them).
